Janee:  What/who do you look to for inspiration musically? Personally?
Steve:  Good question.  I feel that any time I have sought out inspiration it has escaped me....I just have to be patient and know that it comes....on it’s own time & it’s own terms.

Janee:  What bands were you in prior to Trashlight Vision?
Steve:  Many bands....maybe too many (laughs). 

Janee:  What was your first show you played like?
Steve:  It was pretty much like the first time I had sex.....quick, sloppy and embarrassing!

Janee:  When did you meet Acey Slade?
Steve:  I met Acey years ago when he was still in The Vampire Love dolls.  I was in a band called Nympho Clepto, and our bands played around in the same circuits.  We became good friends and later kicked drugs together.

 

Janee:  How did you end up hooking up with Acey and Trashlight Vision?
Steve:  I had mentioned to Acey a while back that I would love to be part of any side project he may do aside from the Murderdolls.  When Acey was ready to get his project rolling I was so flattered that he asked me....’twas a happy day!

Janee:  In one word, describe TLV’s music.
Steve:  I’d go with either Primal or passionate....one of those.

Janee:  Out of the places that you have toured which city would you say gave you guys the best reaction?
Steve:  There’s been so many kick ass shows, and the fans have been amazing.  One show in particular that does stick out was in Swansea, Wales.  The crowd was super fuckin’ crazy and amazing....the crowd was pushing toward the stage so much that my vocal monitor was on top of my set list...I didn’t know what song to play next....what a blast.

Janee:  Do you have any pre-show rituals? If yes, what are they?
Steve:  I Pretty much just like to be alone... or just around Acey, Len & Rags (Roger). I am much more social after the show but before a show I am slipping into my “Zone”.

Honestly, Lenny, Roger & Acey....I’m pretty fuckin’ lucky!

Probably Bowie.  I’d love to watch him write a song & see the genius in action.
