Papa Roach, Trust Company, and Chronic Future – November 23, 2004
Music Farm – Charleston, SC
Review by Heather

When I first found out Papa Roach was coming to Charleston I was so excited! I had wanted to see them for quite some time. November 23rd was the day it happened. I went with my mom, my friend Krystal, and my cousin Jeff. We arrived at the Music Farm an hour before the show started and ended up waiting in line for about 45 minutes so Jeff could buy his ticket. When we got in the venue the floor was full, there was no extra room so we went and stood by the bar area. The first band that went on was Chronic Future. I was a fan of this band probably 2 months before this show. I found out about them on Myspace.com. Their performance was awesome. They had so much energy and the crowd was really getting into it. I hope they come back to Charleston soon!

The next band to go on was Trust Company. I saw them in 2002 on the Pop Sux tour with KoRn, Disturbed, Ra, and Dragpipe, I thought their performance was really good when I first saw them. The 2nd time around was good, but not as good as was expecting. All bands have their off nights though. Their new CD is coming out in early 2005.

It seemed like forever until Papa Roach hit the stage, but when they did, they blew the roof off the place. Jacoby’s voice sounded great, he hit every note just right. The entire band was right on the whole night. Security sucked at the venue, there were fans jumping up on the stage during the first half of Papa Roach’s performance. Jacoby finally yelled for some security and they took care of the problem. The rest of the night went good. Jacoby even crowd surfed during one of the songs. When they hit the first note of “Scars” the crowd went crazy. Then they played “Getting Away With Murder” and lastly, “Last Resort”. Jeff was in the pit during most of Papa Roach’s performance, he met us by the bar after the show. According to him, the pit was pretty brutal, one of the best he’s ever been in. I’m ready for them to come back to Charleston, it was a great night and one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. We got to meet Dave and Jerry of Papa Roach and Mike of Chronic Future. All 3 of them were absolute sweethearts.

All in all it was an awesome show, if any of these bands come to a town near you, I highly recommend going to see them! You won’t be disappointed!
