Killswitch Engage’s album, The End of Heartache is, overall, very well done. There isn’t much from this CD that needs any improvement or constructive criticism. The vocals demonstrate a wide range of technique and volume. I find the lyrics to be deeper and more symbolic then what some other bands in this particular genre have been able to come up with. Killswitch Engage was able to consolidate each member’s talents and produce a seemingly flawless album. They have also been able to effectively mix hardcore with ballad in each of their songs, giving the band an edge. The End of Heartache is an emotional yet powerful, so one will be able to enjoy the CD no matter what mood you may be in. It would be extremely difficult to find The End of Heartache to be boring or lacking, and I therefore implore all of you to add this CD to your collection.
