Boys Night Out

Earlier This year when I was given “Trainwreck” by Boys Night Out to review I thought it was going to be another teeny bopper band with the bubblegum lyrics to match but I ended up loving it and playing it constantly.
So when a couple weeks ago I was told I was going to their show to do a review, to say I was psyched was a clear understatement. The rain slowed my drive there down a bit but I made it to the venue as the first band was playing.
I stood patiently in the line at will call until it was finally my turn. I told the guy my name and what I was there for. He searched the list then hands me a photo pass. I can’t even get inside with just a photo pass and I told him this. I asked if he could help me out and call BNO’s management, of course that was no go. After 20 minutes of waiting and I could now hear Boy’s Night Out onstage. Three songs later I got inside and watched the rest of the show.
They sounded like they were distorted and you couldn’t understand a word they were singing. As I got a little closer I could hear that their singing wasn’t off it must have been something with the sound system. They were jamming and they were full of energy.
I was bummed about missing the first couple of songs but I tried to enjoy the rest of the show. I hope to catch them the next time around which I heard won’t be for awhile. I have to admit I really hope it’s at a different venue since the Electric Factory’s sound system didn’t do them justice.
