DAVID GILMOUR - LIVE AND IN SESSION DVD By Kristin When people hear the name David Gilmour they almost immediately think of "Pink Floyd" how could they not the band has certainly carved out their niche in rock history. People sometimes forget that Gilmore is about more than just that, and this DVD showcases some of those finer points such as "Take A Breathe" Live At Prince Albert Hall," and a few "AOL music sessions from New York." He still seems to mainly stick with that out in space type of feel. "Comfortably Numb" envelopes you and quietly allows you to reminisce about all those past experiences you have had while listening to this tune whether it be you were 1/2 baked or just hanging out by the pool with a margarita and a close knit group of friends. You don't need to be a heavy hitter to enjoy the works of David Gilmour, it just helps you understand a bit more if you are. |
